About $20million worth of farm and resource management applications, supply chain solutions and bio-technology will be explored at this month’s 400M AgTech Investment Forum in Toowoomba.
Food Leaders Australia CEO Dr Ben Lyons is leading the event, and said in 2017, agricultural technology (AgTech) was about solving problems in the industry.
“What does 400M stand for? It’s about how we make better use of the 400 million hectares of arable land in Australia – a finite resource that currently produces food for about a little over 60 million people. It’s also working out how we access the 400 million people in China’s middle-class while maintaining Australian produce’s premium market position,” Dr Lyons said.
